Abstract
Energy crisis is one of the biggest challenges for our society. Efficient storage and conversion of the energy captured from existing sources are thus of great significance. Electrochemical energy storage and conversion is such an approach where advanced electrode materials need to be developed and synthesized. In this presentation, our strategies to synthesize different functional materials, especially various carbon materials and their composites will be detailed. Their applications for electrochemical energy conversion such as hydrogen production and CO2 reduction will be shown. More attention will be paid to the applications of these functional materials for electrochemical energy storage, including the ensemble of high-performance batteries and supercapacitors.
