报告摘要:
For capacitive energy storage and memristive applications in integrated circuit, HfO2-based thin film is of strategic importance for high breakdown strength, lower leakage currents and CMOS compatibility. Realizing a superior energy storage performance will broaden their application in microelectronic devices. Combining the merits of relaxor-ferroelectric (RFE) and high entropy could achieve high energy storage density and efficiency. The enhanced energy storage performance was achieved by increasing the film’s high atomic configuration entropy through doping-induced increasing of degree of structure disorder. The formation of extremely small nanopolar regions with an amorphous-like structure exists. In our work, the superparaelectric-like HfO2 films present very high energy storage density and efficiency with high dielectric breakdown strength. This further modified relaxor antiferroelectric-like property of the HfO2 thin films are also suitable for reservoir computing as a physical node of reservoir. Based on high compatibility with standard CMOS manufacturing, dynamic memristive properties of such structure have been characterized, and our simulation work further demonstrated its potential applications in neuromorphic computing like images recognition. In this talk, I will also introduce topics related to LaAlO3/SrTiO3 two-dimensional electron gas transport property and sensing applications as well as BaTiO3/FeNi multiferroic tunneling junction.
报告人简介:

戴吉岩,香港理工大学应用物理系教授、博士生导师。1988年毕业于复旦大学物理系,1991年获清华大学硕士学位,1994年于中国科学院获博士学位,之后分别在美国西北大学,新加坡材料与工程研究所任博士后研究员。2001年任职香港理工大学,2013年获聘教授。主要从事功能氧化物材料与器件研究。已经发表国际学术期刊400余篇,引用率15000多次,H因子61,获授权专利10余项。著有专著 “Ferroic Materials for Smart Systems - from Fundamentals to Applications” (Wiley, ISBN: 978-3-527-34476-5 February 2020)。先后主持各级科研项目多项,包括国家973项目(先进声学材料与超声探头的研究),深圳科创委项目,香港自然科学基金和创新科技项目。获得2020年广东省自然科学一等奖。现任亚洲铁电协会主席,全国电介质物理学会,全国超声协会理事等等。2024年入选长江讲习教授。
